Built with love by Telugu people

The world's most
obsessed fans
finally built their own thing.

Resono is a love letter to cinema — built by Telugu people who grew up treating every release day like a national holiday and every hero like family.

Why this exists

From fans who thought the world deserved better

We're Telugu people. That means we didn't "watch movies" — we bunked school for FDFS, memorized dialogues weeks before release, and debated casting choices at chai stalls with the kind of heat most people save for elections. (Our elections are also about cinema. It's a whole thing.)

Every platform we tried made us feel like an afterthought. Tollywood stuffed into a "regional" dropdown. Bollywood exoticized. Korean cinema walled off. Hollywood treated as the default. The richest, wildest, most passionate film cultures on Earth — all flattened into someone else's sidebar.

We decided to build the platform that treats every industry like it matters — because it does.

Not ticket volume. Not box office. Not screens.

The world's most movie-obsessed places

Cultural Obsession

Andhra Pradesh & Telangana

The Fanatics
#1theaters per capita in India

Milk abhishekam on cutouts. Fan wars that make sports rivalries look polite. Entire political careers launched from the silver screen. The Telugu states don't just watch movies — they live inside them. Highest theater density in India, the loudest first-day-first-shows, and a box office that punches miles above its weight.

Digital Obsession

California, USA

The Searchers
1,296movie searches / 100K people / month

The place that makes the movies also can't stop Googling them. Release dates, box office tracking, horror subgenres at 2 AM — Californians consume cinema data like other states consume weather reports. Texas and Utah are close behind, but the Golden State stays #1.

Artistic Obsession

Paris, France

The Cinephiles
#1cinema density per capita globally

More screens per person than anywhere on Earth. Parisians argue about mise-en-scene the way others argue about football. Independent and foreign films don't just survive here — they thrive, because the audience treats cinema with the same seriousness as fine art.

We happen to be from #1. Totally unbiased ranking. We promise.

(Okay, we're a little biased. But the data backs us up.)

Not another movie database

We built what we couldn't find anywhere else

Every industry, equal billing

Tollywood, Bollywood, Hollywood, Nollywood, K-cinema — all first-class citizens here. No one gets a "regional" label.

Built by the audience

We've refreshed BookMyShow at midnight, fought for corner seats, and cried in intermission. We built what we needed.

Opinions, not algorithms

Real reviews from people who care about the craft. No engagement farming. No paid placements. Just honest takes.

Context that connects

Full credits, career arcs, industry connections — the kind of deep detail that turns a casual viewer into a lifelong fan.

Come be obsessed with us

Whether you pour milk on cutouts, binge-read trivia at 3 AM, or quietly sit through every last credit — you belong here.
