Revelations

Directed by Yeon Sang-ho and executive produced by Alfonso Cuarón, Revelations is a psychological thriller set in the city of Musan. The story follows Sung Min-chan, a pastor of a small, struggling church who believes he has received a divine revelation to punish the person responsible for a child's disappearance. As Min-chan's zeal leads him down a dark path of vigilante justice, Detective Lee Yeon-hui—who is haunted by the past abduction of her own sister—is assigned to the case. The film explores the dangerous intersection of faith, trauma, and apophenia, questioning whether the signs we follow are truly divine or merely projections of our own internal guilt.
