The money says flop. What do you say?
In an audacious bid to secure a 200 million dollar grant from an international NGO, a high-ranking North Korean military officer, Park Gyo-sun, is tasked with building two churches in Pyongyang—a city with no religious freedom. To maintain the charade of a functioning religious community, he organizes a fake choir composed of a ragtag group of soldiers and citizens who have never sang together. As they practice in the frozen wilderness of Mongolia to avoid detection, the group begins to communicate sincerely through music. What started as a deceptive ploy for foreign currency transforms into a moving human drama of redemption and solidarity, proving that the power of music can bridge even the most rigid ideological divides.
