Set in a rural village where traditions are unconventional, the story follows Anpu, an alcoholic who faces constant ridicule and is marginalized by the local community. In a village that oddly celebrates funerals with more grandeur than birthdays, Anpu finds himself in a bizarre situation when he decides to feign his own death. The narrative blends elements of black comedy with deep-seated emotional drama as the villagers react to his supposed passing. The film serves as a social commentary on the treatment of the less fortunate in rural society and the value of human life versus ritualistic celebrations.
