The picture
Vedam follows the interwoven lives of five main characters from vastly different social strata in Hyderabad. Anand Raj "Cable" Raju is a slum-dweller, Vivek Chakravarthy is an aspiring rock star, Saroja is a prostitute, Ramulu is an elderly weaver, and Raheemuddin Qureshi is a Muslim man facing prejudice. Their independent struggles with money, identity, and survival culminate on New Year's Eve at a local hospital. When a terrorist attack strikes, these five strangers are forced to make selfless choices that entwine their destinies in a final, harrowing act of humanity.
