The picture
In a village near Thanjavur, the local residents prepare for Kaappu Kattu, a sacred traditional protective ritual for their temple. The story follows Leela, the daughter of a strict village leader, who dies by suicide after a violent disagreement with her father. Eerily, her corpse remains completely immobile during funeral preparations, sparking fear and uncovering deep-seated social injustices. The family soon discovers that supernatural forces are linked to a long-locked room in their house, leading to a haunting exploration of caste discrimination and rural folklore.
